BIO :Samue'L

Samue’L is a multi-talented singer, songwriter, producer and actor. Born in St. Louis, MO, Samue’L began his singing career as a lead singer in his church choir at Solomon’s Temple since he was a child. Although many believed he had the talent to become a singer, Samue’L’s first inspiration was to become a professional football player because of his star qualities as a running back for Eureka High School. However, in 1998 Samue’L had a vision that he should become serious in his pursuit to become a singer and, thus, was hooked with his vision ever since.

Samue’L describes his music and sound as an “eclectic hodge-podge blend of hip-hop, jazz, R&B and a bit of Muddy Waters blues.” With more than 100 songs in his repertoire, Samue’L considers himself a trendsetter with a universal touch and “taste of chocolate soul” for the ladies.

Samue’L also has close to 10 years of performing experience around and beyond the St. Louis area. They include singing in talent shows, festivals and showcases at the Missouri Black Expos, Forest Park Community College (shared the stage with then up and coming hip-hop group, St. Lunatics), Shared the stage with several national acts such as Eric Bennett and mint Condition in Kansas City at an all white party sponsored by Hot 103 Jamz radio station, Trill Ville, The All Stars and Young Buck in St. Louis to name of few. Samue’L has a phenomenal repore from his peers and anticipates much success in all that he does.

Because of his love of the arts, Samue’L branched into the acting arena. His debut was the player/ladies man, “Orlando Lawson” in Joe Garrett Productions’ gospel play, “When All is Said and Done” at the Fabulous Fox Theatre in St. Louis, Missouri. He also had starring roles in Unity Theater’s “Brother/Man” and his critically acclaimed performance as “Stix” in the Theatre’s production of “Sparkle.” Samue’L also toured with another hit gospel play of Casey Entertainment, “A House Divided,” based on a true life story which also played the Fabulous Fox in St. Louis, Missouri.

Samue’L’s inspiration is God, his family and his former music producer and “inspirational coach” Al “Baby Al” Caldwell (who also toured around the world with Vanessa Williams, worked with the Isley Brothers and St. Louis’ Ralph Butler to name a few). His hobbies include watching and playing sports, sketching, skating, and counseling friends.

Samue’L’s artistic motto is: “I don’t feel that people should separate themselves-for better or for worse-from other artists. Everyone has their own capabilities and some are little more unique with their presentation or performance in the studio or live. It is unlikely to develop one’s own style without a mentor or without the help of other artists. The greatest of man lies within, and as visionaries we stand, so let’s stand together.”
