When you think of St. Louis Rap Artists, you think of dance, up-tempo party like head banger music. Stars like Nelly, Chingy, Jibbs, Huey and Ludy have opened doors for aspiring artist in the Lou. However, many artist now are approaching the rap game too typical these days and the industry is craving that perfect new sound. Tone EaZy is that artist with that sound out of St. Louis. He won't be compared to any that has set they're stone in the industry of rap/hip-hop. Although Tone is a hip-hop artist, his style ride the lines of soul music. In fact, many will learn about him and consider him to be the "hip-hop soul" of St. Louis.

Tony (Tone EaZy) Edwards Jr. Grew up on the rough side of Berkeley in St. Louis. He is the oldest of his mother's three children. Tone started rapping at the age of 10 years old. Like many rappers, even those currently in the industry, developed their own style by their peers, the streets and studying preferred styles of successful artists. At the age of 11 years old, EaZy moved to the East Coast to live with his father. Tone found himself thereafter and his style was made manifess. With practice he took his style the next level. Icons like Biggie, Jay-Z and Naz was often found in Tone's cd player to ignite his promising future. He returned to St. Louis at 14 years old with a bigger lyrical vocab and a brand new swagger. Tony attended and graduated from Berkeley High School. He often used his skills to dominate battles in the lunchroom, bathrooms and locker rooms in the school. By the time of graduation, he developed his own fan base and there was no doubt he was the truth. Now, at the age of 22 Tone EaZy is into all types of music. Hip-Hop is not the only genre of music to captivate the interest of this young entertainer. He believes that being a student of all music allows one to think outside the box. Style, Substance and Swagger: The definition of what it takes to be an image of success. Most of all, this guy's got soul.

The bling, cars and women is not what hip-hop is about for Tone EaZy. The quality of Hip-Hop need to be addressed more in these times and maybe more would appreciate the art. Tone's music is full of substance and there is a message in 90% of the songs he create. You've all probably heard of "So St. Louis"....well Tone is to be considered the "Soul St. Louis!" Look out for the kid they call Tone EaZy for real.
