Daryl L. Smith A.K.A. FITIOUS was born and raised in St. Louis, MO. He grew up in the same community, with then up and coming Rap-Pop artist, Nelly of the St. Lunatics. University City seems to be the hot spot for great artist. This is the same part of town that Daryl Smith grew his wings. Growing up in the U-Town brought out many aspects within his vision to encourage him to be an influence over his peers. Many of his friends consider him a leader, one of the many reasons which gave birth to his group’s title L.I.C. “the Leaders In Charge”. There is also some significance to his rap name FITIOUS. “First I Torment Innocent Ones Using Skills,” which is how he describes his lyrical embattlement. There is no competition! It stops right here!

Daryl is a creative genius in all that he does using his metaphoric arrangements and concepts to create what we call rap music today. He was ten years of age when he understood his talent to write poetically. As he developed his abilities, he became driven to change the game. Among his influences, 2 Pac Shukur became his ultimate idol in rap music. Daryl admired his political work labeled poetry with a hot track underneath it. 2 Pac was extreme and versatile to Daryl and many others. He had the ladies, children and street thugs quoting his flows. That gave FITIOUS his drive to become as big of an influence as the beloved and rap Legend, 2 Pac Shukur. Lately, T.I. has become an inspiration to him as well. There have been many to intrigue the interest of this new age rap artist. Now it’s time for him to spread his wings and become an influence to others.

The young lyricist got started with four other artists who called themselves L.I.C. “the Leaders In Charge”. They were formed as a group working with local and up and coming production companies/management. The young guys stayed consistent and remained proactive in their grind.

Daryl Smith “FITIOUS” is a spiritual being and believes in God and the work he created. He has become a leader by following the path of his current leader, Samue’l of Stl’s Finest Productions. Daryl feels at home with SFP and plan to remain faithful and loyal to the company that has given him a re-birth to express himself within his craft.
